Welcome to MA Design

Professor Roberto Fraquelli

I am a Professor of Design and subject leader for 3D Design at Plymouth University. MA Design, is a new suite of Masters Design programmes aimed at students who wish to develop go-to market design knowledge that has relevance and creativity in business and practice.

MA Design consists of five platforms, Design, Spatial Design, Designer Maker, Service & Interaction Design, and Sustainable Design, these distinct areas contribute to a lively and enthusiastic department with an international student body. Many of our designers do well in business and enter the design profession with a holistic approach to design, ready to face the challenges of the 21st Century.

During my career I have combined both professional design practice with academia and have directed a number of initiatives and programmes to academic and business institutions in the UK, USA, Taiwan and India. I have designed products, environments and experiences for companies such as PRADA, Procter & Gamble, LEGO, and the BBC and have won several international design awards.

"The only course in the UK that allows you to choose from a set of recommended specialist subjects."
